Hi all –
Anyone interested in helping a grad student free up some extra funds? Have a look…

For Sale:

SOLD 2008 ULA Conduit for sale (photo below): size Small/Medium, purchased June 2008 and used five nights since. Like new condition. As much as I like the design, it is just too short for me (6’ tall, 18.5” torso). 95$ shipped CONUS, will consider a trade for similar quality size M/L Conduit.

SOLD. Homemade Climashield Combat and DWR Ripstop quilt (photo). By no means professional quality construction (though I was pleasantly surprised by how it turned out). Weighs 20.75 oz on my digital scale. Materials purchased from thru-hiker.com. I am just trying to recover cost of materials and pass along a functional piece of gear that I don’t use (used it one night, and for my purposes I prefer my down sleeping bag). $65 shipped CONUS.

Quilt details:
Very basic construction: Sewn –through foot box, drawstring at neck, no quilting. Measures 78” head to toe, foot box is 18” wide (measured from outside), 49” wide at chest. Forest green.
I have PayPal. PM if interested.

Mat, how warm do you think that quilt is? I'm looking for a synth one around 20F

Thanks for the interest: Adam e-mailed first on the Conduit - if he passes, David is up!

Robert: I wouldn't recommend the quilt for 20 degree temps. I believe mountain laurel designs has a conservative temperature estimate for their climashield XP 2.5 oz and 5.0 oz weight quilts. Climashield Combat weighs in right between the two at 3.7 oz/square yard. Personally, I would use it inside of a bivy with a warm balaclava and a thick baselayer for 40-42 degrees and up (though I do sleep a little cold).
