Overview

We have sourced the tiniest - and the lightest - carabiner available anywhere. The UrsaLite Micro Carabiner is an anodized aluminum, wiregate carabiner suitable for any use where you might need a keychain type carabiner.

In the winter, we use them to connect snow stakes with their attached guylines to tents. We hang them off our backpack daisy chains to keep stuff handy. And, they are the same carabiners used in our UrsaLite bear-bagging food storage system.

These micro carabiners are strong - they have a failure strength somewhere in the range of 150 to 200 pounds, so they are entirely appropriate for minor load bearing tasks such as hanging your food or pack. Not intended for climbing or rescue situations.
