Anyone who has spent time in the wilderness knows that one of the biggest barriers to a relaxing day in the woods is a relentless cloud of hungry insects that see you as part of the food chain. To make matters worse, most headnets designed to combat those flying critters are heavy (for what they actually accomplish), don’t fit well, don’t stay in place, are not very breathable, and reduce the visibility of the scenery that you came out to enjoy in the first place.

With simplicity and performance at its core, this headnet is designed to provide ultimate protection from small insects such as midges, gnats and noseeums, while increasing visibility and ventilation in comparison to other, more mainstream micro-weave headnets. Limitations:

While vastly improved, the tight weave of the noseeum mesh is still less breathable than its mosquito mesh counterpart. This is most noticeable in warmer conditions. If greater ventilation is desired, one solution may be to treat a more breathable mosquito net with permithrin-based insecticide.
The small pore size of the noseeum net also decreases visibility and can promote a ‘closed-in’ sensation in some people. Still, this is a small price to pay for the comfort of not being eaten alive.
