Specially formulated for sealing seams on tents and other outdoor products constructed or coated with silicone, such as silicone treated nylon. Silnet may also be used as an in-field repair material for moderate rips, tears and areas of abrasion. Available in 1.5 oz. Blister Pack.
For best results in sealing tarps and tents, pitch the shelter taut on a warm, sunny day. Warmth decreases Silnet viscosity and helps it flow into the seam interstices for an effective seal. Alternatively, on colder days, you can blow a hot air (hair) dryer on the seams after applying Silnet, and/or keep the Silnet tube submerged (with the lid closed) in a warm (100-120 degrees Fahrenheit) water bottle to keep it flowing smooth.
Excessive application can add up to 1-2 ounces of Silnet sealant to the seams of a two-man tarp or tent - use sparingly, not only to keep added weight at a minimum, but also to conserve the contents of your tube! For best results, apply Silnet with a stiff-bristled brush that is approximately, or slightly larger than, the width of your seam width (usually, around 3/8 inch for double stitched lap-felled seams).

Seam Sealing:
Adhesive Applications: Roughen and clean surfaces. Apply SilNet to both surfaces. Allow to dry 15 minutes, then join (clamp or tape) surfaces together overnight.
Note: Fully cured SilNet may cling to itself when folded. After first application, lightly dust fully cured areas with talcum powder.
Clean up and storage:
Wipe tube threads. Advance contents to tube neck and replace original cap securely. Store in cool, dry place. Clean hands with soap and water.
