Wow,it is ACTUALLY waterproof. It is comfortable, fits firmly, and doesn't leak . It also has a huge brim to keep the sun/driving rain/snow off, and doesn't look too ridiculous. I think I've found the perfect hat, having looked for many years. I'd give it a 6/10 if possible.

A great hat with only one exception: because the brim secures to the crown with velcro rather than a snap, expect the wind to blow the brim up and secure it to the velcro on the crown without you being aware of it, making it not a good choice on a windy day. Because of this, I purchased the Sitka Sombrero that has snaps instead of velcro and I believe it is a much better choice to spend money on.
