Purchased because it was cheap and paclite goretex.

Good size, good hood, compact. Front pockets are very deep, and difficult to get things out of. Cover over zip is held in place by press studs at top and bottom only.

For the price, extremely excellent value.

Perhaps some modification to the front zip cover with some additional press- studs, and even then not that great, but adequate. The pockets you just have to justify as being "large and useful", which is fine for fly fishing, as I require.

In terms of Australian prices, which are a lot higher than what is paid in the US, even allowing for postage, this jacket is a bargain, however it may be less so if buying it in the US.

Cabela's Rainy River GTX PacLite parka (and pants) are THE bargain in good quality, lightweight, breathable rainwear at the 2010 regular $99. price. The Taslanized fabric is a matte finish, unlike the noisy, shiny fabrics of some much pricier parkas.
