I love this little tent. It's easy to pitch and does so quickly. Eureka did a good job of keeping it fairly light for a two-person tent. The carbiner style clips help it set up fast, however, do seem odd when the intent of the tent was weight. There surely is a lighter choice somewhere on Eureka's drawing boards. I've slept two people in it often as I use it almost monthly for Boy Scout outings. I would say that the gear vestibule is almost non-existent and entry/egress isn't easy. The manufacturing has held up well, this is my third summer with it and it is just now showing wear. Its ventilation is better than I would have expected on a single wall. I've used it in all weather from rain to freezing. I've never been rained on due to condensation, but have been frosted a few times. Its main venue has been SW Wyoming, so if you live with more moisture, you may want to use someone else’s review.

I bought this tent a few years ago, before I knew about tarp tents. I have been happy with it, but it is a little smaller and heavier than a tarp tent. As a free standing tent, it is more round, which gives you more head room when you are closer to the sides. My wife and I have used it and didn't feel cramped. Like most single wall tents, condensation can be a problem. If you buy one, make sure the upper vent is open. You may need a little stick to maximize air flow in that vent. I really like the design; if this tent had smaller hooks and was made of silnylon, it would get a higher score from me.

It's easy to set up and has worn well since I got it in 2004. Used it 12 nights in 2004, 6 in '05, and 2 times last year. Early on I thought around 4 lb was pretty light. But I bought an 11 oz tarp in '05.

I rated it 3 because it usually has perfomed acceptably. I've had one really bad condensation experience in very humid weather. Nowadays, there are lighter tent alternatives.

I want to become skilled with tarps so my Zeus will see limited duty from now on.

This is a splendid little tent. It's so easy to set up - literally 45 seconds is all it takes. It's pretty much bombproof - I had it set up for a month in the back yard for my 5 year old to play in. I've done close to 50 nights in it from winter mountain tops to summer tropical beaches. Never once had a failure never once had a leak, never once had a problem. Downsides, it's a little on the heavy side (compared to some of the super ultra lites) it's ventilation is a bit limited and can be rather stuffy for 2 in the summer - despite this it still seems rather good at avoiding condensation.
I'd give it a 5 if it were lighter - perhaps carbon poles and changing the bulky plastic clips to something smaller would do it.
All in all a great tent without the neurosis associated with it's featherweight competitors
