Weighing in at 4lbs 14oz, this backpack has been incredibly comfortable to wear with loads of 30 - 40lbs. It carries my gear very well with plenty of load strapping and internal frame adjustment settings to accomodate the wearers size.
Granted it took me a little while to learn how to pack this backpack but this is to be expected since it is my first internal frame. The full length zippered access is great to have and makes gear availability a no-brainer. Plenty of padding in the belt and shoulder straps make for a very nice ride.
The water bladder hole in the pack is a little tight and the external pockets for holding water bottles are cramped by some of the load strapping but these are minor flaws that are easily overlooked.
This is a very functional and well-designed backpack.
