At first glance this looks like just another anodised aluminium cook set, but on closer inspection you will find that these pots have a real standout feature. There is a spiral groove machined or stamped into the base. When you sit one of these pots on a stove which has serated pot support arms, the groove engages with the points on the support arms. This ensures that the pot is held very securely and effectively eliminates the possibility of the pot slipping off the stove - a potential hazard with smooth bottomed pots which can and does occur. This grooved non-slip base appears to be unique amoung currently available pots and is a highly desireable feature.



Other details: both pots are hard anodised and have a non-stick coating inside. The quoted volumes of 1.4l and 1.7l are the filled-to-the-brim volumes, the volume indicator stamped into the side of the pots goes up to 1.2l/40oz on the smaller pot and 1.5l/50oz on the larger pot. The single lid fits on either pot.

Stuff sack: 22g/0.8oz

Summary: these are substantial pots of a suitable size for 2 persons. The thick aluminium construction will be appreciated by anyone who cooks real food. The non-slip base is the outstanding feature.
