This bag is a great deal for the $$ spent. REI has continued to refine the design and features of this bag and seem to have hit a home run.

In its evolution, they have added pad loops, internal pocket, better baffling, and lowered the weight by almost a half-pound. (the current one is 1lb 13oz I believe).

I like how the bag is actually constructed with 4 sides, and not just a top and bottom.

Sleeps warms, stuffs small. If you're a beefy fellow, you might find the bag a bit snug, but it fits me to a tee.

I've just purchased a SubKilo for use in the summer, and as an adjunct to my 0 degree bag in the winter. I sleep cold, so degree ratings in general are lower than I find comfortable, by about 15 degrees. Hence this will be my summer bag. In my 0 degree, bag it works great for cold weather. I like how light it is (ready to pack, mine is 1 lb, 15 oz). plenty of room as I am a small person (5 ft, 4 in). good purchase.

i got mine on sale for like $160. it has kept me warm at 10-15 deg. it is a slender fit, which i prefer as i am only 5'9". on the scale it is about 1lb.14oz. and well worth the money spent. the collars and hood work really well. REI did a good job designing this one.

This is basically a 35 degree bag for me. There are a lot warmer bags and quilts for this weight. Basically, I'm rating this a 4 because of all the "5" ratings so far, whereas I don't see this bag as being anything special. It's narrow for a lot of people. It's not a 20 degree bag for most people.
