One of the best outdoor books ever! Sublime and thought provoking.
- A very young woman's account of thru hiking the AT solo in 2005 and of her self discovery.
LOTS of stuff happen to her on the trail and as we all know now she makes it all the way and goes on to set the overall (male or female) AT Supported speed record in 2011.
At one spot in the book I was STUNNED for several minutes by what happened - not too many times in a book about hiking that I see something totally new anymore...
I've read more than a few AT books and journals and this is one of my favorites.
