This bottle is similar to the Platypus and there were several things I liked about it.

First of all I liked that the opening was on the side and not the top. This makes for easier pouring and I don't spill as much water. I also liked that it came with an FDA approved anti-microbial agent built into the bottle. I liked that one litre model seemed to roll up smaller than my Platypus of the same volume.

What I didn't like was the sport cap which leaked. It didn't leak where I expected - the cap actually warped and was leaking from underneath and not out the pull top as I had expected. I ended up replacing the cap with one from my Platypus.

All that said I still think this is a great container and the cap issues aside I will purchase the Liquitaner again.

I have the 2 liter source liquitanier drinking bottle. It great is the same height and width as platy 1 liter and blow up only 1.5 inch wider than the 1 liter platy when full of water. It also stands up on it own and you don't get any spill when you pour or drink.

I always replace my soft bottle with Nalagene pill bottle caps they are stronger plastic and don't leak. So you get a great liquitainer that has slime guard with a smaller foot print that holds 2 liters.
