Whilst many of the readers of the site are very adept at repairing and making their own gear there are some who are not. I am one of them. As a consequence I have used Rainy Pass on 2 occasions, one to clean well used down sleeping bags and the other to add side zips to the BPL Vapr Bivy sack. Their customer service was great, not only did the preliminary phone call help me to describe what I wanted with regard to modifications to the Bivy, it was the phone call when they received the bivy that ensured that the modifications made met my requirements. Rainy Pass can be found at Rainy Pass

I couldn't agree more. Rainy Pass has repaird several of my items including a torn rain fly, sleeping bag stitching, and zipper replacements. All repairs were done professionally, quickly, at a reasonable price.

Living in Seattle, I'm lucky to have them so close. For those further away, you can trust these guys- they're top notch.

I have used Rainy Pass for repairs (torn mesh, zippers) and customization (adding windows to tents. Each time I have received knowledgable advice and an accurate (and reasonable) quote from a telephone representative, and performance to the queen's taste. This company is so popular that its backlog can be weeks or even months, so plan accordingly, but you'll get top-notch work.

I had Rainy Pass shorten a pair of Cloud Veil pants and clean a jacket. Julie in the repair department went out of her way to help me with a problem (not caused by Rainy Pass) the end result of which was Cloud Veil replacing my 4 year old jacket. Great customer service and reasonable pricing. I had work done during the summer so turn around time was good.

I emailed Rainy Pass about washing a sleeping bag. They replied within hours. I sent them my bag on Monday and they had it back on my door Thursday. Granted, I'm only one day away for UPS, but still that means they turned around my bag in about 24 hours - wow!

I will use these guys in the future for repairs and down sleeping bag washing.

Having them wash my sleeping bags is so much easier than me spending a whole day in the laundromat! I've got better things to do with my time.
