What I liked:
Easy to make, boil 12-16 oz water (depending upon how runny you like it) pour it in, reseal it, stir / squish for 10 minutes, Viola! Easy cleanup, reseal, repack, repatriate.

The taste is fair to good, and reminds me of real lasaga with meat sauce.

What I didn't like:
Salt is pretty high, 60% RDA for this single pouch. Not a big problem if you eating low / no salt for other meals, but you probably wouldn't want to eat 3 of these a day.

I do believe they can make a quality good tasting meal without the high salt levels.

Price comparison from GearBuyer:
Mountain House Lasagna with Meat priced at: $6.39
Mountain House Lasagna with Meat Sauce priced at: $6.39 - $11.59

very good meal and easy to prepare. I got all the mountain house pro-packs and this one may have been my favorite ones of them all. beef stroganof was probably number 1

When I grab a freeze dried dinner for an overnighter, the MH lasagna is my number one choice. I liked it when I started in '88 and still like it today.

I use a lot of Mountain House Pro Packs and as much as I like the flavor and texture of this item, I avoid it like the plague.

The overwhelming downside is the cheese they use. It does NOT rehydrate well. It is very stringy and sticky. Get it on your spoon when stirring immediately after adding boing water, and you'll be forever trying to get the tenacious stuff off the spoon. Even my teeth couldn't do it completely. It's a real mess.

Bottom line - a great product brought down by a poor ingredient.
