This economical cook set doesn't seem to get much press, probably because it is not titanium. The 20oz. (600ml) size works out perfect for most dehydrated meals.
In the morning it is enough volume of water for eating oatmeal (in a separate bowl) and having coffee out of the mug. The lid and cozy keep your hot drinks warmer than an open cup.
For dinner you can rehydrate in the cup with the cozy and lid or use freezer bags with just the cozy and lid for a no clean up meal.
The telescoping "Foon" is okay, with watery meals the liquid drains away, I just like a regular spoon better.
The pot grabber works well, (but so does a glove).
For packing I like the small size and that the lid stays on tight.
I have been using a 22 hole Fancy Feast stove with an aluminum windscreen that fit inside the cup.
I made a bowl for oatmeal out of a plastic yogurt bottle that fits inside perfectly.
For $24.00 this is a fantastic deal for a complete solo cook set that accomplishes what I need it to do. (Really if two people are going just take two of these.)
GSI lists this at 5 ounces, I do not have a scale but have heard it is more like 6. Even so it is your coffee mug, cozy and pot.
So the cons are it could be slightly lighter (but more money) the "Foon" is just okay, and with the plastic / rubber lid you can't put it in an open fire.
Would definitely recommend.
