these came with my wetfire ti stove, as a fuel they didn't come close to the performance of Esbit for cooking, BUT as an emergency fire starter I don't think it has an equal. I'm talking fire under the very worst of conditions- wet, cold, windy. the wetfire tinder is unaffected by moisture- it will burn readily in a cup of water!

it burns hot and long enough to get a fire going under the most dire conditions
