Four Dog Stoves has provided many of us with what we were wanting for our small pots/mugs- decent lids!

I feel qualified to review them as I now have three- one for my SP 900, 600 and 450. All are very well made and fit and finish is the highest quality. The 900 comes from SnowPeak with a "frying pan" which was simply for me- a heavy lid!- the Four Dog Stove lid saved precious ounces (and even a little volume). The 450 and 600 come sans lids, so the need is even greater.

All lids come w/ a small wood knob (that's removable if you don't want it) that works amazingly well- you can take off the lid off a boiling pot w/ your bare hands- the wood stays cool to the touch. It also allows you to hang the lid off the side of the pot- a nice feature.

An optional feature is strain holes- if you cook pasta/rice/etc in your pot and need to drain off water- simply hold the lid to the pot and pour.

A new option is titanium, my newest lid is a for my 450 and it's titanium. I'm amazed at how nicely formed the lid is- if you've ever worked with Ti you know what I'm talking about, it's not the easiest stuff to work with!

I believe that in addition to Snow Peak, he may have lids for some of the other popular pots/mugs.

It's great that we have so many talented folks and small cottage industries on this site- we clearly all benefit, the Four Dog lid is yet another example of providing a much needed, quality piece of gear

My Snow Peak 900 has been my go to pot forever now, but I hated the sloppy way the fry pan lid kept sliding off and I never used it anyway.

I stumbled upon Doug's site looking for a solution and it really has made a great classic pot even better :)
