The Fenix brand LDO1 CE single cell AAA flashlight has been updated. The newer LOD1 CE-R2 is 1/32 of an inch longer, allowing for an improved lens shape that throws a "stronger" beam. This change, along with increased lumens on high and the lowering of lumens on the low setting, have made this unit my EDC flashlight. Weight is .5 ounces without a battery.

Like the CE version, the R2 has three regulated power sequence levels: medium, low, and high (28-9-85 lumens). Run times for both units are nearly the same. A review of the LDOI CE, with some additional information, was published here on 2-6-09.
