A great way to spend three days, and a great course. Four instructors for eight students (difficult to improve on that ratio), all of them knowledgeable, friendly, and good at instructing. Great scenery along the Yellowstone River, and BPL even arranged unseasonably warm September weather. I liked especially the “learning-by-doing” approach to the course, and I thought I picked up the basics of lightweight backpacking as well as packrafting. The food was tasty and filling and the campfire camaraderie even better. My only nit to pick, which is why I am giving only a 4 rating, was some contradictory pre-course communications. To some extent this was due to a late change of lead instructor, but as a novice packrafter I was a bit confused. However, I highly recommend this course to anyone desiring to learn about packrafting.
