I'm very fond of this internal framed pack, and yet it doesn't seem to get the love the other Osprey packs do. The AirCore system in the backpanel is the most breathable of all the Osprey variations, and the pack handles loads up to 45 lbs quite well. (They're a bit conservative on this on their site.)

I've owned two -- one for me and one for my partner -- and still use one when I need the extra support. The load-lifters are nice, but don't add much since the pack isn't that big (in a medium) to really justify them.

Overall, a very very comfortable pack, and very durable. I've been using it for almost 4 years, and it still looks nearly new.

This was my first pack ever. Prior to purchasing this pack, I used a daypack (probably about 20-25L) for day hikes, overnights, and even a few multi-day trips. Mind you, this was in sub tropical climate so I didn't need to pack much.

I've since started doing longer multi-day trips in colder climates and traveling so I invested in this pack.

First trip out, 5 day hike to Kalalau on Kaua'i and back. Something in the internal frame tweaked on the first day and the frame was warped, asymmetrical ever since. Sent back to Osprey through their repair service and they said it was not fixable and I am now looking for a replacement.

Functionality, fit were all good. The bag worked for me until it broke. But, it was very heavy relative to its capacity and other alternatives both by Osprey (e.g. Talon) and other mfgs.

Bottom line - I wouldn't buy it again but I haven't found a good replacement yet either.
