These bags are designed to steam veggies in a microwave oven. They are absolutely perfect for "freezer-bag" cooking.

They are made of a tougher material than freezer bags, one designed for boiling water temperatures, and are pleated at the bottom so they stand up well. They are wider and not as tall as standard freezer-bags.

Two of us used one bag for seven day's worth of cozy-bag cooking last week in the Adirondacks. At the end the bag seemed to be as good as new.

Note that they have a small vent in the top to avoid explosion, so you can just seal them up and not worry. Just don't let them fall over, though, or they'll leak through the vent.

I use these bags for baking all the time. Usually muffins for breakfast. Put the mix in the bag, roll it up and secure it with a rubber band so mix doesn't leak out the vents. When it's time to bake, add water, kneed until well mixed, place in pot over 3/8 in. boiling water and cook for 17 min. Steaming hot muffin is the result.
