This review is on the Oware Dixon Double Bivy. I had been in the market for a double bivy for a long time but couldn't find too many options out there! I had seen the Double Vapr Bivy Sack @ BPL but never seemed to have the cash when it was available. Another important factor was the price, I couldn't explain to the fiance the almost $300 purchase...With a little more research I came across the Dixon Double Bivy by Oware. At $60 cheaper, only a .3 oz heavier(10.5oz), and a free 40x60x3/16 plastizote pad, it was exactly what I was looking for, an ultralite deal! With a Pertex Quantum top and silnylon bottom it was an ultralighter's dream and highly functional addition to the sleep system! Now it had to be tested! I took a quick trip to the Badlands Wilderness Study Area, approximetly 15 miles east of my home in Bend, Oregon. Temperatures were about 45 in the day, and got down to 22 that night. I combined the bivy with my Oware Cattarp 2 and was stoked on how comfortably I slept , only to be awoke by the howling of the coyotes that echoed throughout the desert. Superb bivy for those who need room for 2, or just like a little extra room. Dave Olson was a great guy to buisness with, and look forward to future products. Construction was flawless to my inspection! My new favorite piece of gear! Definetly a 5 out of 5!
