At 5.2 oz. with batteries this camera is trail tough. I have taken the Olympus on the entire JMT, Thorofare Region 80 miles and all over the Sierras for the past three seasons of hiking. This is not including my every day use of this camera at soccer games and family reunions. With 365 picture capability and multiply functions and 8 second videos what else do you need. Small and compact that fits in your front pants pocket and a very long battery life I give the Olympus D-435 a thumbs up. Highly recommended
