The Trail Pro [32oz] is the next step up from the Prolite 4[24oz]. It has a 2in. thickness but has same length and width as the Prolite 4. The older I get the more I need a good nights rest and the weight is really worth every oz. I will take the Trail Pro on weekend trip but not on a longer trips.
Highly Recommended for older hikers. Too each is there own comfort level.

Price comparison from GearBuyer:
Therm-a-Rest Prolite 4 priced at: $69.97 - $69.98
Therm-a-Rest ProLite - Women's priced at: $57.34 - $119.95

A decent winter mattress on 05/03/2010 21:56:29 MDT Report Post Print

I won my Trail Pro regular at a Sierra Club Outings leaders training seminar, otherwise I would not have spent the money B/C I seldom car camp. But now I have an alternative for a winter ski camping mattress for temps down to 0 F.

That said I found the mattress VERY comfy compared to my old Thermarest Lite reg. summer mattress. My wife will love it for car camping.

I also won the fitted mattress cover, snap-on light quilt and foam filled pillow. A pretty good haul. "Even a blind squirrel gets a few acorns." :)
