Just returned from a 4 day bushwhacking trip. This setup achieved 2 near boils (small bubbles) per esbit tab. Morning and night temps in the mid 30's - water taken from cold creeks. I allotted 4 tabs per day and actually used only 2 (breakfast-dinner). The pot is 0.8L and filled to within 1/2 inch to the top.
I am very pleased with this setup - as this was my first esbit fueled trip.
The only possible negative would be that it seemed to me that the esbit tab was quite a distance from the pot. I done know if this is a major concern, but I may play around with raising the gram cracker closer to the pot bottom.
