Owned a Basic Designs Ergo-Mat for many years, brand now owned by Stearns. It developed internal leaks recently, probably due to the internal fabric coating wearing out.

Stearns said there is only a 1-year warrantee, and I purchased the mattress many years ago.

In contrast, a Thermarest mattress I purchased years before the Ergo-Mat had the identical problem, and Cascade Designs replaced it for free.

The Ergo-mat is not lightweight by today's standards. I use it for car-camping. It was pretty comfortable, I have to admit.

My advice...buy your self-inflating mattress from companies that offer lifetime warranties, as does Cascade Designs.
