These Gortex XCR lined trail shoes have been in my kit for the last to winters for snowshoeing and hiking. They have worked well in many winter temps down below 10F for all my uses. They breath reasonably well though you will find some moisture in them after a full day of snowshoeing. I use wool socks to negate this factor. The have a nice TPU shank that adds stability to the sole and have decent cushion for carrying loads. The traction is also very good. I've used them on ice and with care slipping can be minimized (you should use traction devices). The soles now show wear and are delaminating a little. They weigh 31.2oz in a size 9.
