After purchasing one of these shirts in late 2006, I have found this shirt to be my "cast iron skillet" for spring, fall and winter trips in the mountains. I have even used it as a warm baselayer in all 4 seasons. It is always my base layer for snowshoeing and when going uphill, is the only thing I wear on my upper body. Unlike synthetic shirts I have used, it is comfortable when wet and even when the wind is blowing. The fit is good (size L) and the shirt has held up extremely well. Other than a small hole on the sleeve caused by hitting a rock while falling on ice, it looks as good as new. It is, however a bit too warm for me to use while hiking in the summer.
