Different than other kettles but superior in design IMO. Handle at top has many advantages--slides down to lock lid/pot, is out of the way from heat source, maximizes surfaces exposed to heat (Caldera Cone type setup), can be reversed, place small items on it (above kettle) for pre-heating,etc.

The flat recessed lid also has an advantage--reverse the handle (180 degree’s), plug the spout with tin foil and the kettle now becomes a mini DUTCH OVEN. To bake: add dough, set to side of a small campfire, place hot coals/ashes on top. Weight is slightly more than the Titan but construction, pour spout, baking option and handle design is superior.

In order to feed my well established titanium addiction i need to track one of these kettles down, anyone out there got one, good price paid for nice specimen ! mac
