I originally bought this pack to replace my ArcTeryx Bora 80 for winter backpacking. After coming back from a backpacking trip in Arches National Park, where I was carrying 5 liters of water, I've decided to use it as my main pack (it handled the extra weight fantastically). The cordura fabrics GG uses are really nice and the back panel felt great in the warm desert. I especially liked the adjustable shoulder straps, where I could get the load lifters set at a perfect 45 degree angle. Removing the top lid will save weight and the roll top closure is one of the best I've used. I added the optional hip belt pocket and plan to get a lot of use out of this pack. As a side note, I prefer this pack over my previous lighter weight framed packs (Gregory z55, Osprey Talon 44, Boreas Lost Coast 60 and Buttermilks 55).

Price comparison from GearBuyer:
Boreas Lost Coast 60 - Women's priced at: $209.95 - $210.00
Osprey Talon 44 - Men's priced at: $101.99 - $149.00
