I bought two pair of Darn Tough's 1/4 Mesh Merino socks in size Large on closeout at an internet retailer. After wearing one pair for a short, 8-mile hike, a hole formed by the big toe on my right foot. I contacted Darn Tough about this less-than-satisfactory performance via email.

Within a day, I received a reply from a Darn Tough customer service rep named Roland. He told me that this was a problem they had identified with this particular sock and had since doubled the knitting in that area. He then gave me an address to send my socks to for a replacement.

Well, I shipped 'em off, and a week later, I have two new pair of socks with a much more reinforced toe. I'm thoroughly impressed with Darn Tough's level of service and look forward to buying more socks from them in the future.

I got a pair of the DTV boot socks in a BGT Test. I gave them hell for four months. It didn't seem to have had any effect on them.
Roland B is a very helpful guy too.

Had a small hole form on the ankle of one of my Darn Tough Full Cushion Boot socks that I use mostly for fishing. Surprising since I have a pair of Micro Cushions that I have hiked the heck out of with no problems at all.

I contacted Darn Tough via their website and received and email from Roland Beliveau in customer service in under 24 hours. I returned the socks via USPS and had a new pair (same size, same color) at more door step in under a week.

I bought some half cushon hiker socks and on the first trip got a blister under my big toe. I called them and left a message on their voice mail with my number and never got a call back.
I do like how they fit and feel so I'm going to keep trying them.
