I have found this little pouch very handy for organizing all the small gear such as toiletries, repair, cooking and first aid items, etc that can so easily get lost or is difficult to keep track of.

Mine weighs 1.4 oz, contains 6 various sized closable pockets and is less than a third of the weight of my OR Organizer Pouch. Some of the pockets are mesh making it easy to see at a glance the contents.

Construction quality is very good with no raw fabric edges and straight stitching of seams. So far, durability has not been an issue.

I carry the Lite Tripper in the top pocket of my ULA P-2 pack where small items that might be needed on the trail are easily accessible.

This would be a great item for the BPL Gear Shop to carry.

I agree, this item is great and as lite as anything I have seen of its design. Organizing my 10 essentials kit is this makes find things much easier than searching through a stuff sack.

repackaging led me to this organizer on 03/28/2007 22:00:19 MDT Report Post Print

The irony of repackaging stuff into smaller containers is the accumulation of a whole lot of little containers. I have tried to keep track of them all a variety of ways, but always feared I'd misplace or lose one in a stuff sack. This is a lightweight solution. Not that much of a weight penalty for the benefits.

This is the best solution I have found to the problem of where and how to store small items in a big backpack. I was getting so tired of losing things in my own pack and having to unpack everything to find something. I've now used this on two four day winter backpacking/mountaineering trips.

The Equinox Monarch(that is the name of this item)weighs less than an ounce, yet has half a dozen separate pockets in a variety of sizes. The center mesh pocket is perfect for toothbrush and toothpaste. One of the small pockets has a container of pills, bandaids, lipwax, earplugs, eyeglass cleaner, etc. Another pocket holds my ipod and earphones. Yet another pocket holds my matches, a lighter and my mini multi tool. The outer pocket holds my spork, a small billfold with id, and other items. The whole packet also holds two or three packets of tissue when zipped.

Great item, which I ordered directly from Equinox.
