Basegear has an over the top policy on returning "baselayers", i.e. they're unreturnable. Their return policy on baselayers is buried down in their return policy statement and it should be, in my opinion, much more apparent and disclosed with the product description for baselayers.

I purchased a Mountain Hardware Baselayer Bottom but the material didn't match my expectations- never worn, still with tags and in box, but such a thing can't be returned or exchanged at Basegear. So be sure to read their fine print before purchasing products from Basegear.

Have shopped with them twice.
Good prices. Next day shipping. Good overseas shipping rates. Got large orders right.
Selection could be better.

Bought an osprey pack, had a hole in the mesh, fought with BG about a refund, finally got them to agree to pay for shipping to return it to Osprey, Osprey sewed the hole closed
( I could have done that!) Now the mesh pockets are fraying where they are sewn to the zipper. Plus I see wear on the bottom of the pack where the frame is covered with fabric, even though Im careful where I set it. Bummer Osprey and Basegear!!!!!

One of the item came defective. I emailed basegear for exchange, they said that I need to pay my own return postage, it is not my fault the item had manufacture defectives. The item is only few bucks above the postage price so it's really not worth to send back. I think that is just not right!

short to hold matches. I had to pay
$2 in shipping to get a $4 refund.
