First, I like that it's rugged and lightweight compared to many materials, and can be used to heat 8 - 12 oz of water directly over a stove / fire, or can be used as a cup or even a small eating dish. Being Ti, you expect it's going to handle getting banged around very well.
If you need a 12 oz cup that is tough and lightweight for $17, this may fill your bill.
On the other hand, I question the size vs. function vs. cost vs. functionality. For most of the dehydrated meals I've packed in, the need is for 16 oz of heated water, not 12, so using this by itself might be a suboptimal choice: You can realistically boil 8 - 10 oz in this cup, not 12. Further, A 500 ml / 16 oz cup / mini-pot w/ handle may be a better choice if I want to only carry a single item.
Yes, for a cup it is lightweight and rugged, but if you wish to use this for multifunctions, then it may not be a little small.
