I entirely agree with Craig S.' review. I carry this item with me everywhere once the weather turns cool or cold. I wear it over or under my Mountain Hardwear Micro beanie, and both of them under my trek hat if there is bright sun or weather. MH webpage for the item is at:
http://www.mountainhardwear.com/Product.aspx?top=6&prod=1258&cat=57&viewAll=False

Mine weighs 1 oz. on my scale, it rolls up into a small ball that fits in pants pocket or pack side pocket.
With a vegetable bag used as a wind and rain/snow barrier it works great.

I have tested it in 0 F to 32 F during this winter and it is helpful to breath through it sometimes, although a wool item might be a bit better. It works to shield but not eliminate wind and it is, IMO, a bit cooler than a wool head wrap, or the PossumDown beanie for certain.
Given weight and performance, and the fact I carry it with me all the time this is a definitely highly recommended item when it is combined with a beanie, Possumdown or synthetic, or any other.
