A beauty of a shoe that solves the mesh upper durability limitations of the Terroc 330, but not the lug-popping-off durability limitations of the soles. Of all of the Inov8 shoes, these are my favorite trail shoes, and the ones that I'm consistently getting 300+ miles out of.

These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, and the only brand that has pulled me away from Montrail in the last 8 years. But, having grown accustomed to the durability of the Montrail Hardrock and Masai, the Roclites are a compromise. The tread on the inner and outer edges of both heels began to delaminate within the first month, tho are still usable after 3 months (moderate daily use + maybe 8 weekenders). The stiffness of the Hardrocks bothers me now, more than I thought it would. If Inov-8 improves the durability of the outsole a bit, then I've found my ideal thru-hiking shoe.

I totally agree with Ryan and Jason. I have been trail running and hiking in running shoes for almost 35 years and the 315's are my all time favorites. I run the hard pack in UT and the rocky, rooty trails in New England. The combination of all purpose, all terrain sole grip and an upper and heel construction which really supports and stays appropriately snug make this shoe a masterpiece of overall design. The 310's were great but 315 are a distinct upgrade in fit and durablility. Of course they are amazingly light for all that support. I have also taken to running the roads in the 315 and find them outstanding there too. I just got a pair of f-lite 300's which have a less pronounced sole pattern and will use these as my road and hard pack shoes. At about 300 miles of mixed terrain: road and trail the midsole heel is canting/compressed a bit to the inside on one shoe but this is normal for me and showed up far later than in other shoes. I just returned from a multi day hike which involved stream crossings, trekking through 2 foot deep snow, and picking my way over heavy duty rock fields. These shoes were comfortable throughout the hike, handled all the situations well, and dried extremely quickly...I'm even blister free. Best shoes out of the box I've worn so far. Ordered 1/2 suze larger than my street shoes, but the same size as all my running and trail shoes.

This was my first trip with light running shoes. I did a 5 day trip on the Minong Trail on Isle Royale starting out with a
29# 7oz load. They handled wet weather, rocky ridges, and the load with no problems. The Roclite 315's are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. After having water running out of the sides one morning they were dry about 3 hours after the trail dried out. I am a convert.

I found these shoes online for 75 bucks, and after seeing all of the praise online for the Inov-8 line of shoes, I decided to give them a shot. Best decision I've made in awhile. Previously my favorite shoes were Montrail Diez Vistas, which they have stopped making. So after being very disappointed with some North Face trail runners I bought these, and the comfort out of the box was incredible. Fits snug all around my foot without cramming my toes in the front, and walking almost seems easier with these shoes on. The tread is very impressive as I motored right up mountains here in Arizona, which is like walking on golfballs all day long. I was surprised at the durability so far for such a light shoe, hopefully the desert won't take it's toll for many hikes to come

I wear size 14, 14 wide if I can find it. I'm not sure why I've got these giant dogs but whenever my Mom and I see Bigfoot on the old Discovery channel she gets a far away look in her eye. So, obviously I'm obsessed with finding ul shoes. Size 14 shoes can weigh up to a pound over advertised weight, usually for size 9, add that to the adage one pound on your feet equals three on your back and you can see why shoe weight keeps me up at night. These shoes are champs, I would pass out a 5 rating but I got some rubbing on the ball of my foot during an epic down hill in the smokies, no blister but the moleskin had to make an apperance. As for durability I've put around 200 miles on 'em so far and they're still looking pretty spiffy. They clean up easy, dry fast, and with a little Arm and Hammer they don't smell like gym class. I've worn them with loads up to twenty pounds and I haven't turned an ankle yet (knock on carbon fiber). With no insoles you can feel the trail and thats a bonus when navigating my giant sasquatch feet through the roots and wet granite of the blue ridge.

Just like the others reported .. these are GREAT shoes. Not a single blister after doing 80+ miles in bad weather. I think the key to these shoes is the breathability and flexablity that allows then to form fit to your feet.
Buying another pair now that I have tested them out !!!
Make sure and use a good footbed with these.

I have tried 4 pairs of Inov8's over the course of the last year (I live close to their distro center) and I think from now on these are the only ones I need. While each pair has been great, these have easily become the goto shoe for just about everything I do, including road running stangely enough. The Flyroc's were great but they rose up too high on my ankle bone and the wider platform while great on technical terrain also limited their feel of agility. The Roclite 295's were awesome as well but the Sticky rubber sole wore down after 170 miles of hard use (I am 6'4" 195lbs). Lastly the F-Lite 300s have the same upper construction as these shoes but their intended purpose limits their versatility. In the end each user’s results will differ depending on their foot type, usage and local terrain, but the 315's have become my new Montrail Vitesse's.

Being someone that has had knee issues in the past and hearing from one of my friends (also a BPL member) about these minimalist shoes and the theory behind them I was a little skepticle. I bought them over a year ago and was excited to have recieved them and quickly put them on my feet for wearing around the house. They felt like slippers on my feet. Light weight and comfortable.

After a years use of trail running/backpacking through all types of terrain/mud/rivers I can say with confidence that these are the best shoes that I have used.

My knee pain has gone away and my confidence when hitting the trail has gone up. These shoes allow me to feel the trail beneath my feet and adjust my footing based on that. I have never gotten even a hint of a blister from these shoes.

I will be buying a new pair of the RocLite 315s very soon and this will be the first time I have ever bought the same shoe twice.

I did lots of research to replace my 30 year old heavy leather boots. I tried many different boots at REI before I ordered these and have found my hiking shoe. I went one size up from my street shoes. I have waded through a streams a few times and they dry out very well. I use Smart Wool or Icebreaker light hiking socks with these Roclites. I also purchased a backup pair.
