Skaha Plus is well-made, warm and light. It's a great building block for a layering and/or sleeping system. I wore it for the first time in the Eastern Sierras with temps in the high 20s and was toasty. I also used it inside my Arc Alpinist and had to open it up because I was too warm. I'd be comfortable at least down to 20 degrees with that combo. As always, Tom Halpin does an amazing job sewing and construction. I added the Napoleon pocket at Tom's suggestion. It was really a nice feature on cold mornings.

The sizing is true to generous.

Ditto. Used mine with an arc alpinist in the Wind River Range. Temperatures in the 20's and I was toasty.

Hope you all have seen our SPOTLITE review of the SkahaPlus, published last December. The Skaha is really a superb performer in loft per weight. And the new optional features give you a chance to make it a little less spartan.

I submitted a detailed report on the Skaha Plus to BackpackGearTest.org that I'll summarize here. I really like the simplicity of this sweater, and the kangaroo pocket is as good as zippered pockets for keeping my hands warm. I much appreciated Nunatak's custom work; at Tom's suggestion I ordered an extra panel in the body and an extra inch of sleeve length that made this just right for me. Very useful as part of a sleep system with a Back Country Blanket at 35 F, even better as a coverup while backcountry skiing.

I wish I had known the base pattern for the Skaha is an "athletic cut" (Tom's words). I could have ordered a custom jacket with some extra length in the sleeves and hem, and then I would have given this jacket a 5. I have to commend Tom's customer service though, as he sent me some extra fabric and down so I could lengthen the jacket myself. I got a size large in Quantum with hood and front pocket, and everything about the weight and construction of this garment is top notch. Very warm for the weight. It extends the range of my sleep system dramatically.
