This is now my preferred mode of tarping. After experimenting with cat-cut tarps, hammocks, tee-pee tarps, I have concluded that the most versatile configuration is the standard flat 8 x 10 silnylon tarp with ample tieouts and a strong ridgeline. I use this tarp for more than just camping. The center tieout on the ridgeline is great for setting it up as a sun-shelter at the crag, an afternoon break on the ridge, and there are a myriad of options for setting it up as a shelter in inclement conditions. The absence of any catenary elements makes it a little more challenging to get a taut pitch but that just means you need more experience with it. This is all eclipsed by the infinite versatility of this configuration.

Mistake here, I meant to review SilShelter, not tarp

A good all around tarp.

It does not have any mid point tie-outs like Oware and others have.

This limits your pitch options, but if all you use is an a-frame or flying diamond pich, this is perfect.
