I've been using these little brother crampons over the winter and have found them to be perfect. I've used them on non-glacier snow fields up to 12,200 feet and they have not failed once. They're simple to put on over my boots, weigh around 13 ounces for the pair and provide great traction when needed. I'll bring these over my heavy pair as long as I'm not in a roped up situation.
