First things first... this is Backpacking Light, afterall... the weight. TNF lists the weight of this rain jacket/anorak at 5.4 ounces. I assume they were basing that weight off of a size medium, as most other manufacturers do. My size small weighs in at 5.8 ounces. I was hoping for something closer to 5 ounces from the small... or, at the very least, 5.4 ounces. Boo, I could have had a jacket from another manufacturer with a full zipper in size small for not much more weight than this. The only reason it has not gone back? It's black, and I got it on sale for a hundred bucks. Otherwise, pass...

this thing is awesome and has proved itself. wore it over a baselayer down to 33 degrees in a cold windy rain while hiking and was fine. i fell into branches when I broke a lt4 carbon pole and swore it had ripped only to be amazed that it had come away unscathed. design is minimalist nirvana with only two panels of fabric and the reduced seams. hood is balaclava style with quick set adjusters on the side...perfect for keeping rain out. this little guy is a heavy weight in my book.
