Good overall warm weather rain protection for you and your pack. Vents well. Adjustable hood is big enough to use a wide brim Tilley hat. Not great for bushwacking but for on trail use its hard to beat for warm weather rain protection.

The biggest complaint that people seem to have about this cape is that it doesn't extend below the knees.
I personally prefer this as it works better when hiking in rough terrain or when wearing a rain skirt.

It is lighter than most rain shells, better ventilated and since it is a cape, doesn't need a more fragile breathable membrane.

The adjustable bungees make for a good fit around a pack. I have used it to supplement my shelter at times.
