OK, tried em' out for the first time this weekend. First, before leaving for a 15 mile round trip weekend in Athol, Idaho, I tested them out at home. They seemed to work fine after a couple of tests and so I took them with me on the trip. That trip I had to refill my 3L CamelBak 3 times, using a total of 9 tablets. The packaging was easy to open with my knife (but I found it's good to seperate the packaging into squares so as to simplify usage of the tablets). They do not leave much aftertaste, and that which it does I did not mind at all since I was carrying 1 ounce of water purification vs. a pound for a filter. I did have to wait a few hours but I had enough patience for it. While wating, it gave me time to take a nap and relax under my tarp while evryone else was still setting up their tents =p

I will continue to use these and yes, I would recommend them to a friend :)
