Just to start the climbing topic I submit as an ultralight hero the Prussik Knot. With pound plus ascenders smirking behind the cliff who can resist the friendly, useful, and light little knot that lets you ascend ropes with (almost) ease.

Its brother the Kleimheist is also excellent for unidirectional forces.
