This is aluminum bottle based alcohol stove similar to the "gram weenie" by Whitebox. I bought the stove because of its simplicity and because I could quickly get it for a hike I was taking on short notice. My last alcohol stove had bitten the dust and I needed a quick, cheap replacement.

The stove is simple and easy to use in the summer weather that mine has so far experienced. The reason I give it a 3 is because, filled completely (somewhere between 1.5 and 2 oz), it would not bring 2 cups of water in my Snow Peak 700 to a full boil. The water was still plenty hot for my meals.

Normally I would give that performance a much lower score, but I fully of expected even a small side-burner to be less efficient on my narrow pot. I still took off some points because the stove is advertised for use on this or even a Heine-can, and I can't imagine it giving a full boil on either. I would only recommend it if you have a wider pot, or like me, only plan to use it casually where full boils and efficiency aren't important.

This stove does everything I want it to. It boils two cups of water in a fosters can in 7.5 minutes off of 7/8 oz of fuel (I use 1/8 oz to prime which gives 1 oz per two-cup boil).

I would give it a five, but I don't have any experience with other alcohol stoves (besides homemade ones) to compare against.
