Rating: 3 / 5
The Coughlan’s LED Clip-on Headlight is light weight, inexpensive and bright enough for around camp chores. The red filter is a nice feature to save night vision. I gave it a 3 of 5 because it was frustrating to try to find the on/off switch by feel since the rubber covered switch just barely rises above the surface of the plastic lamp housing.
Good: Inexpensive (MSRP $11.53) Light weight (1.3 oz) Red light option by flipping red cover over lamp Adjustable tilt angle Water resistant
Not so good: On/off button difficult to locate by feel Strap is not easily removable if want to clip to a visor (and strap dangles in the way) Can’t adjust brightness (although flipping the red cover over the light makes it less bright)
Specs: Battery: 2 x CR2032 3V Lithium (included) Battery Life: 25 hours Battery Replacement: with coin Bulb Type: Nichia 5 mm white LED Output Power: 3.5 Lumens Weight: 1.3 oz with batteries Modes: Steady, flashing, red (when red cover is flipped over lamp) Features: Headstrap and visor clip
