Backpacking Light and Bozeman Mountain Works are brand holdings of Beartooth Mountain Press, a cottage company with a hometown way of conducting business. We employ and contract a handful of good folks to help us run our business, from copy editors to product reviewers to Web developers to content writers. Every one of them is enthusiastic about their role with us and every one of them is passionate about the outdoors and backpacking. What this means is that you are being served by a team of individuals making our best efforts to see that we are helping you appreciate your backpacking experiences even more.

We value trust and confidence in our staff, our publications, and our products. We work diligently to make sure that our published content is accurate and fair. And, we have the ideal of carrying products in our catalog that represent only the finest quality from our fellow cottage manufacturers.

If you submit a customer support request through our Website Contact Form, we will do our best to reply to you in a timely, professional, and courteous matter. We expect a level of courtesy and professionalism from our customers as well, and are not too keen on engaging in email flame wars with belligerent people. We will happily communicate facts about our products to you, as well as subjective information based on our own experiences, but please don't ask us if we think they are the "best" products in the world. The reality is this: they may be best for some situations for some folks, but they cannot serve every need for every person.
