Uniquely designed Velcro closures, along the side edges of the wallet, and vertical hinge points allow the LiteFOLD XP to snap securely closed in a bi-fold style. The result is an incredibly thin and bulk-less wallet that opens and closes quickly, and slips almost invisibly into a pocket.
The ingenious vertical hinge points and velcro arrangement also permit LiteFOLD to function just as capably as a tri-fold wallet, for those times when a smaller wallet shape is preferred.
Converting from bi-fold to tri-fold mode is as easy as switching hands. With the wallet open, a quick flick of the left hand folds the left half of the wallet at its hinge point, toward the right, to create a Velcro-secured, bi-fold close. Or, with a flick of your right hand, the right half of the wallet folds left at its off-set hinge point; it is then a simple matter of folding the remaining left side of the wallet over the right, to create a Velcro-secured, tri-fold close.
In bi-fold mode, the LiteFOLD XP measures 4.25 in. tall x 4 in. wide when closed. Tri-fold mode offers a smaller closed size of approximately 3 inches wide.
Full-size bill compartment offers security and convenience: 8 in. x 3.75 in.
Dual interior credit card slots store a total of 6 cards, ID, passport, etc.
Dual Secure External Pockets with Velcro closures - on the outside of the wallet, left and right - greatly expand the storage capacity and utility of LiteFOLD beyond that of conventional billfolds. Not only can you store additional credit or business cards in these pockets, you can also use them to store and quickly access spare change. No more loose quarters jangling around! Accessible without opening the wallet itself, these pockets can also accept such items as a Swiss Army knife, car keys, and countless other small essentials.
External pockets are offset, allowing their stiff, Velcro-secured edges to serve as hinge points for folding the wallet closed in either bi-fold or tri-fold mode. The left pocket measures 2.5 in. deep, and is perfect for storing additional credit cards, business cards, ATM receipts, or spare change. The right pocket measures nearly 4 in. deep, and occupies the entire front face of the wallet (in bi-fold mode), making it roomy enough to hold car and house keys, a folded map or guidebook pages, even a small first aid kit.
Webbing loop, on the left secure pocket, functions as a pull-tab and can also be used to attach LiteFOLD to a backpack, clothing, snap hook, carabiner, or any item with cord or webbing up to 1/2 inch wide. Loop also accepts a lanyard (see next) for wearing around the neck.
Lanyard option: drawstring loop at top of wallet accepts an ultralight AirCore Dyneema lanyard (included) for wearing around the neck, beneath a shirt, for example when lacking pants pockets, desiring maximum mobility, or for extra security in town. Lanyard can also be attached to the webbing pull loop (see above) or removed entirely.
The LiteFOLD XP features advanced X-Pac fabric, an ultralight, non-bulky, water-resistant, highly durable fabric technology brilliantly suited for this application. Among the lightest and thinnest outdoor fabrics available, X-Pac nonetheless feels substantial and offers a stiffness that makes LiteFOLD easy to handle. And unlike those bulky cow leather and ho-hum fabric billfolds aglut in today's marketplace, LiteFOLD virtually disappears into a pocket, enhancing comfort and freedom of motion as well as security.
