Article Summary:
Based on the award-winning Vapor Trail pack, Granite Gear creates the Alpine Vapor Technical Pack.
The Alpine Vapor uses the Vapor Trail suspension, but is built with High Tenacity 210 denier Cordura throughout the pack and High Tenacity 420 Cordura on the bottom to stand up to the punishment of life on the rocks.
Granite Gear also introduces two ski packs.
The Pileus is an 1800 in3 pack with internal pockets to hold shovel handles, skins, and probes; and a padded external pocket for a shovel blade.
The Quick Quiver (Q2) 1000 in3 pack has a narrow top and wide base, creating a shelf that allows skis to be easily strapped in without removing the pack from the back. Hypalon lashing straps prevent skis from slipping. The main body has a large compartment with pockets capable of stowing shovel handles, skins, probes, extra layers, and food supplies.
Both ski packs are made with high-tenacity 210-denier fabric with Cordura for abrasion-resistant protection and durability.
