hey, next summer I may have another chance to go out west for some backpacking... after hiking in the sierras last summer, I would absolutely LOVE to go back, but since I will only have a few opertunities in the next few years to travel specifically for backpacking because off school, and my fathers work schedual, i would like to explore other mountain ranges and wilderness areas.

I have always been excited by trip reports and pictures from the wind river range.
So I was wondering if anyone had any great trips from 100-200miles that go through the wind river range. If I would have to do a section of the continental divide, that would be fine.

RJ, Ive seen some of your pictures from a trip through the winds... I weould love to see square top mountain and the Cirque of the Towers

If you start near the Green River entrance and head south
you can take the Highline trail from Union Pass near Dubois
and finish near South Pass. Pick up a book called Walking The Winds by Rebecca Woods. You should be able to plan a great route with it. Good Luck.
