I don't think that promo code is going to go through. They told me it's a 2005 code. That's what the first two numbers in CPM-05844 mean.

It's still a good deal though.

I didn't get any message saying the code wouldn't work. I've been told my order has shipped as well. Even if the code doesn't work, Road Runner's price is half of what you'll find the e+Lite for anywhere else!

I phoned my order in so I could check stock. They wouldn't let me use it. It'd be interesting to see what your credit card shows.

I actually just checked (I paid with a debit card) and I was only charged $18.49! I wonder if it just slipped through the cracks? Even if they come back and say they made a mistake, its only a $1.50 mistake so it won't be a huge deal. Regardless, it was a steal!

The fellow on the phone asked if we had a lot of runners in the area. I then explained what BPL was and about this forum. I recounted how many lights we had bought today and he said "no wonder they're going so fast!" They have more stock coming in and about nine left right now. We didn't clean them out yet.

Just got an email from RRS stating the e+lite I ordered the other evening isn't available, with no option to keep on back-order.

It may that the price was an "oops." Anybody get a shipping confirmation yet at the original price?

It is common to see lighting products closed out as they are packaged with batteries, making them a perishable item. Likewise for wrist watches.

Lithium batteries are what... 12 year shelf life?

I think Petzl says something like a 10 years for the battery.

Mine arrived today-- in a box big enough for a football (I will recycle it).

I'm impressed with the lamp. I had seen them in stores but never laid hands on one. Good sealing, bright, easy to switch modes, and of course, light and compact. They had the sense to slot the battery door so you can use a battery to open it. The case is nicely made, but I doubt I'll use it. It would make a nice container for a survival or first aid kit.

The is the first small headlamp that I have seen that I would take as a primary light. With the Petzl and a micro light you can have all the lighting bases covered. This addition cuts my kit by 6oz (my old headlamp and the heavier back-up batteries) and saves some space too.

The light has a ten year guarantee, but the batteries' shelf life is more like five years and that is on a curve.
